About Jerome Moon

Jerome Moon has Blount County values through and through. Born and raised in Maryville, He has spent a lifetime of service to our nation and our community. After defending our nation in the United States Navy, Moon, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, came home and continued to serve – as the President of The Daily Times newspaper, an active member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Chairman of the Blount County Commission, the Blount County United Way Board, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10855. As a former Chairman of the Blount County Industrial Board, Moon knows how important skilled trades and vocational training are to the success of Tennessee’s next generation. He will strengthen our education system and help prepare students for college and technical careers. Guided by faith, family, and freedom, Moon has been a distinguished leader in the state legislature for our students and our community.
