The son of the first African-American Chaplain for the Davidson County Sheriffs’ Department and a retired Metro Nashville Public School Secretary, James Turner II has a heart for reaching and serving our community through faith, criminal justice reform, and education. As a pastor and a volunteer helping troubled youth in our community, Turner is the voice we need to uplift all Tennesseans and put people first. He knows that we need to work together to build a new promise for the future of our state.
